                Debit card car hire

We offer the great deal and fairly unique service of debit card car hire, most car hire companies across the world only take credit card which can be often to peoples frustration as many dislike the use of credit cards because it can easily lead to debt and credit ratings spiralling out of control. We realised this issue and decided we could and should do something about it, with this we managed to organise a deal but it came with certain restrictions in regards to what kind of cards you can use.

                Young driver car hire

We offer car hire at Cork Ferry port from the age of 21 given that you have had your licence for 2 years which can be counted as driving experience. You will often be subject to an additional daily charge if you are considered a young driver which is below the age of 25. Don’t worry about the price for young driver’s additional fee we will still try to find you the best deal including this offers, if you want more information on young driver car hire and further information on age restrictions please contact us directly via call or email.

                Brilliant company

I had very little funds available and no credit card. I used my debit card and paid £200 deposit and £11 for the car ! In total my debit card was debit £211 and the £200 returned based on 1 day. so cheap. would be nice to see the cars on line though.

Do I need to pass a credit check if using my debit card to hire?

If renting a car in the UK and you are a UK resident most of the large multinational suppliers will carry out an electronic address check to ensure you have strong enough links to the address provided. However most of the suppliers with the exception of 1 or 2, still carry out the same checks so not unique to when you need to hire via a debit card. Key indicator are if you are named on the Electoral Register and named on the council tax bill.

When renting a car overseas as an inbound client our suppliers do not carry out any checks.

Do I need to leave a deposit if hiring with a debit card?

Most suppliers do require a security deposit when renting a car, in the UK we have a range of options. The best value suppliers would request a £200.00 – £300.00 deposit. However we do have selected locations where our supplier does not require any deposit, so a full zero deposit.

In Europe we have options where you can just leave a fuel deposit of 110 EUR, and there is no mandatory requirement to take the Super Cover as this can be the case with some of the smaller budget suppliers.
